Comunidade e escola: a participação necessária

Abstract

This study is a research of the type case study, accomplished with the community of the Municipal School of Fundamental Teaching Dagoberto Barcellos, of Caçapava of the South, RS. We objectified to identify the vision that referred her community has of the institution-school, with views to suggest actions that propitiate a larger participation of the family, aiding the children in the school tasks, at home. With that, it is looked for, in the partnership, to improve the quality of the teaching accomplished in the school. Theoretical Base approaches the theme Democratic Administration firstly. In the sequence, we demonstrated the need to create a participation culture in the teaching institutions. We aimed the parents as great allies, that need to be guided, so that they can help its children they to improve it its school acting. We sustained the hypothesis that there is not the participation wanted by everybody, because the family doesn't possess a historical one school that enables it to guide, to help, to motivate, to accompany its children in the school. With the aid of the research, we interviewed 32 parents or responsible of students. Each one answered to three questionnaires. The reading of the data defined the community's profile and it went the base to the considerations. Besides checking the initial hypotheses on the participation level that we have. Finally, we presented suggestions for the school that has political will and he/she wants an adult and better participation of the family, improving like this there the quality teaching produced.
