Abstract

This work had as objective to create design to surface through of the mosaic, being as reference on the creation process, the architecture and the symbols found on the Philippson Israelite Cemetery, on the city of Itaara-RS. It is characterized as a case study. Through of a bibliographic survey, the teoretical search was developed aproaching subjects refering to the Judaical immigration, habits and believes, the history of the mosaic, its design and application. Using formal elements from the photographic registrations of the tomb-stones, the aesthetics and processual search was developed, resulting on several lines of creation.
