Significado, produção e utilização de dados epidemiológicos nas estratégias de saúde da família

Abstract

In Health Sciences it is necessary to plan actions based on the population`s needs and according with theirs peculiarities. For this to happen, it is necessary to organize the work processes based on concrete data about some particular location, transforming them into health information to be worked and used in planning specific actions for a better quality of life of this population.This study aims to understand how the professionals of Family Health Strategies (ESF) mean, produce and use epidemiological data on the feasibility of everyday actions.Therefore treating it is a descriptive and exploratory study with a qualitative approach that was carried out with the Assistance Coordinators in ESF Health in a medium-sized city of the central region of Rio Grande do Sul state. This work is justified due to the observed incorporation difficulty in the daily management of Public Policy at the Municipal Health, the use of planning tools and health indicators proposed by the Ministry of Health.
