Tesouraria provincial de Mato Grosso: uma análise da sua produção documental no período imperial (1836-1889)

Abstract

The documentation contained in the permanent files is extremely important for researchers from different areas that seek to analyze and understand aspects of a society. In this sense it is fundamentally important to the archivist's job in the organization, provision and dissemination of information in these files. Given this need this study sought to reconstruct the context of creation of documentation of one of the most important organs of the Province, the Provincial Treasury, as this agency was responsible for the administration of public revenues. We opted for the methodology of identifying the document type, which allows the reconstruction of the context of production of documents. It is observed that the documentary has enabled the mapping of the documentation of the administrative process, allowing the reconstruction of the functioning of the Provincial Treasury and therefore the elaboration of a framework arrangement for the documentation.
