Selo postal: uma análise sob a ótica da história, semiótica e arquivística

Abstract

The focus of this research is to analyze the postage stamp from three separate sciences such as semiotics, history and archival, arguing from these: a stamped image, a documentary about the history and honored. However, there is concern in studying the behavior of this object deep in their science, but rather provoke discussion succinctly, so that the commemorative postage stamp can be treated more than just an object of philatelic collection, but also as an object of scientific study. The proposed methodology is characterized by descriptive and documentary and was used as an instrument for data collection observation. It presents as a result, the semiotic analysis postage stamp from the theory of semiotics of Charles Peirce, the identification of the context of archival commemorative postage stamp to archival organization, the account of the historical moment depicted by the stamp from his edict publication and examination of how the three studied sciences contribute to the study of commemorative postage stamp.
