dc.description.abstract | With many changes that happen in the educational field, specifically in the area of
management, it becomes necessary to have a deeper knowledge about these questions, such as
understand theoretically the construction of management democracy. Therefore, this research
falls within the institutionalization of democratic management, as provided educational
principle in the constitution of 1988 in order to broaden the understanding of the elements that
are involved in the process. Considering these assumptions, this monograph aims to evaluate
the importance of the democratic management process as political pedagogical and
professional attitude of the manager and their relationship to democratic management and
analyze the mechanisms of this management model, illustrating its limits contributions to
democracy and democracy-building school. For this, we used the literature as a
methodological procedure, supporting the view of various scholars of the area and to
reflections on the subject from a new investigative look. Throughout the study, one can see
that the democratic management is linked to the complexity that evolves social life. Thus,
concepts and social practices such as democracy, politics and school management should be
understood as factors that comprise a broader set of social problems and that cannot be
analyzed separately from the complex context of everyday school life and social life. In this
sense it is important to note the dialectical relationship between theoretical concepts and
experiences of everyday professional education, seeing the theory and practice as allies in the
pursuit of individual and social transformation. The democratic management is a new model
to manage the school, giving an opportunity to reflect who are the subjects that are part of its
construction, through respect and tolerance of socio-cultural diversity, providing equal opportunities for all. | eng |

analisados separadamente do complexo contexto do cotidiano escolar e social.
