Ritualidades e saberes: as práticas do cerimonial e os usos do protocolo nas câmaras de vereadores

Abstract

This term paper aims to understand how are the ceremonial practices and uses of protocol in the City Councils observed. As specific objectives it was observe the routines of the department/responsible professional for the ceremonial and protocol activities in the City Councils with nine, twenty-one and thirty-six elected representatives; observe how the supervision is performed when the ceremonial and protocol are developed in the assessed organizations; and finally, indicate how ceremonial and protocol practices are used in each of the City Councils. It was used how method the observation to collect the operation data of ceremonial and protocol at the City Councils; the participant observation in the City Council of Santa Maria, by the author make part of the team of the Public Relations department, responsible for the ceremonial and protocol; and, questionnaire, used to describe the routines of the City Councils pointed in this research. As a result of this research is identified the importance of the Ceremonial and Protocol activities be performed by a qualified professional for such action, because, with it: the supervision is performed in order that nothing passes unnoticed, the norms and rules of Ceremonial and Protocol are strictly fulfilled and, accordingly, the vanities don’t take place in the work routines of those public organizations, whose main role is to supply the demands of the populations in their cities.
