A participação dos pais na gestão de uma escola núcleo do município de Santa Maria

Abstract

This investigation aimed at to analyze the difficulties in the process of the parents' participation in the administration of the nucleus school of fundamental teaching of the Santa Maria-RS city. The same is characterized as a study of qualitative case, where we analyzed the pedagogic political project and the regiment of the School. Besides, we accompanied some meetings of the School Council and Council of Class Participation that it involved the parents' participation at school. We used observations, field diary and semi-structured interview with the directing team, teachers, parents, students and functionary taking into account the objective of this investigation. This investigation was a work accomplished in loco with the intention of knowing the daily of a public school of the rural zone, opening like this, possibilities for us to know the problems, the difficulties and the virtues of an institution and your actors in a reality little investigated and unknown of our part. We consisted that the parents' participation in the administration of the school is superficial due to conditional or barriers as, for instance, access of the parents at school because of transport, financial, for the time of service, problems of health and disinterestedness, as well as for the relationships of power among the actors that act at that school. Like this, our task in trying to understand the studied reality just looked for not to conform to with the same as if we were not part of her, but we hoped to be, in some way, participating and contributing to your reconstruction.
