Abstract

This article aims to determine the actual performance of the guardian council of the municipality Sananduva-RS front of existing cases involving children and adolescents. This study was divided into two parts consisting of the literature review and the interview field, currently being conducted survey information from the Guardian Council of the Municipality and other bodies directly linked to the first. Having such data has become possible to perform the verification of the actual service provided by the Guardian Council, but has few resources. Well as we found that most of the cases occurring in the city of Sananduva are infrequency of school, abuse and family quarrels. And even though the Guardian Council accompany families, they do not give importance to the responsibility they have with the development of their children and the situation ends up going back to the time when the Guardian Council started the service when it fails to assist the family in when it intends to have fulfilled its function in that family group, leaving no other conclusion that the problem does not stem from a malfunction of the Guardian Council, but of the family dysfunction.
