Eficiência energética aplicada em sistema de abastecimento público de água com reservatórios elevados – estudo de caso para a cidade de Uruguaiana - RS
Abstract
Este estudo versa sobre o abastecimento em marcha por um sistema pressurizador em uma região com 9975 habitantes na cidade de Uruguaiana-RS e por meio deste descrever uma alternativa de abastecimento para esta região demandando menos energia elétrica. Este estudo foi desenvolvido em 03 etapas. Na primeira etapa realizou-se a caracterização e o diagnóstico do sistema de distribuição de água atual. Na segunda etapa realizou-se a caracterização da concepção do sistema de abastecimento proposto. Finalmente, na terceira etapa realizou-se o estudo de viabilidade técnica e econômica desta alternativa proposta. Os resultados obtidos mostraram que é viável abastecer esta região substituindo a estação pressurizadora existente por um reservatório apoiado com fundo instalado 8 metros acima do nível do terreno e com 10 metros de lâmina de água máxima. Do ponto de vista técnico foi observado que a alternativa proposta permite reduzir o consumo de energia elétrica em 33,65%. As perdas de água na região são reduzidas de 30% para 23,4% ao promover pressões mais baixas e estáveis. Economicamente, o projeto apresenta Valor Presente Líquido de R$ 306.213,26, Taxa Interna de Retorno de 16,76% e Payback Simples de 6 anos, comprovando sua viabilidade econômica. Conclui-se que os sistemas de abastecimento em marcha por estações pressurizadoras podem apresentar regimes de transientes hidráulicos que contribuem para o aumento das perdas físicas no sistema de abastecimento. Verificou-se que para sistemas de abastecimento com perdas elevadas é viável a adoção da concepção proposta dado o grande desperdício de água potável e de energia elétrica.
