Representatividade feminina: a inserção de mulheres em torcidas organizadas

Abstract

Football is historically known as a universe marked by the masculine and, if not exclusively, heterosexual. In this context, the practice of sport in many countries, especially in Brazil, has led to the idea that it would be undesirable and appropriate for women. Thus, with the increase of the active female participation in organized cheerleaders, a new audience was appreciated and consumer of this sport. This insertion, however, faces up to the present day many difficulties due to the macho predominance in this environment, causing the female audience to suffer constantly with labels and obstacles that hinder the respect and representativeness of them as fans. In this sense the relevance of this research is to analyze the difficulties experienced by women, through their own reports and testimonies, inside and outside the stadiums and their representations in the crowd. The methods adopted for the analysis of the work, as insider researcher, were, mainly, through testimonies collected with the women of the Movement Tricolor Feminina SM (FTFSM), in this way it is understood the proximity between the researcher and the object of investigation, both to understand sociocultural dynamics and to attest to the circumstances experienced. Finally, it is important to highlight the need for a breath-taking survey on female fans, which seeks to understand the participation of gender, representativeness, race / ethnicity, social class, among others, in the process of legitimizing the presence of women in the universe of soccer.
