dc.description.abstract | The relationship of listening teachers with Sign Language (LS) has become a necessity for inclusion in the classroom. Despite the current offer in teacher training courses, the dominance and use of Libras is still precarious. This study has as a locus of research the State School of Special Education Dr. Reinaldo Fernando Coser - unique school of deaf people of the interior of the state of RS. As a research instrument, this study invests in the Interview with 4 (four) listening teachers working in the Institution. It is problematic, through a descriptive research of qualitative approach, what is the reaction / attitude of the listener teacher when he is referred to the deaf school to teach classes, that is, when he does not have control of the language of contact and communication of the future students ? The objective is to investigate the reactions and attitudes of the teacher who has a deaf student in the classroom and to verify the methodological approach that they use to expose the content to deaf students. To refer to the work, the literature review on "oral communication" for the deaf is used, explaining later Total Communication, Bilingualism (Portuguese Written and Brazilian Sign Language), and the relationship that deaf children have with both languages in their structure / organization. As the main result of the interviews, the constant learning of the Libras was established by the listening teachers in the conviviality with the deaf students, emphasizing the importance of the coexistence with this community for the effective learning of the Libras. It is concluded that, although it has been more than 10 (ten) years since the compulsion of the discipline of Libras in the degrees, its use is extremely precarious, generally with the offer of a single discipline during the course. This proves that the interaction and communication with the deaf student are impaired, not giving the future teacher a learning and fluency in the sign language, making necessary the use of several resources, mainly visual, so that communication between teacher / student and between student / content. | eng |
