Organizações sociais de saúde como forma de gestão pública

Abstract

The objective of this article is to demonstrate the efficiency in contracting social health organizations in the Municipality of São Leopoldo, due to their administrative and financial autonomy, and the use of innovative management tools and practices, in relation to the direct administration units. Method: This is an experience report. Result: It was found that social health organizations represent a positive strategy to encourage partnerships of non-profit private entities with the Government, due to their agility in managing, hiring and moving human resources, purchasing inputs and carrying out contracts. Final considerations: The research points out that the incorporation of social health organizations into the public management process can be decisive for a new form of administrative organization for the sector, which is efficient, effective and focused on the preservation of the public interest.
