Linhas que bifurcam caminhos: uma poética em desenho

Abstract

This study presents a drawing in growing construction through the path and movement of the artist's body in front of the spaces that said body occupies. The drawing in this research is re-signified by the action that, together with the line, produces a way of recording the movement of the artist's body, which is used as a tool to transport the line before occupied spaces. Poetic research is developed in the field of Visual Arts using artist's diaries as well as practical and reflective experiences, produced on the basis of studies regarding the topicality of the subject. In this research, the string line is the main materiality through which the drawing is made, while the occupied spaces can be architectural, the artist's body or even the space of the house, in face of the pandemic context. Based on the usage of the string line as a driver of actions in spaces and places, it is clear that drawings are generated through the line that ends up being carried by the artist over time and in the spaces which she occupies. Each stage of the research reflects the experience of the artist's body, the experience of drawing and its unique conditions. Therefore, this research perceives drawing as a language that expands on reflections, offering potential contribution to contemporary art.
