This paper deals with the evaluation of the performance factor of photovoltaic systems in the center of the Rio Grande do Sul. The massification of distributed generation brings many challenges to the engineering companies that implement these projects, perhaps the most relevant is the guarantee of the projected generation, because this factor is directly related to the financial return of the prosumer. Understanding the variables that influence the performance of the system and its respective share in generation losses can contribute significantly to the improvement of photovoltaic projects. The difficulties of predictability of the solar resource impute a great responsibility in the evaluation of the performance of the projects, for all these reasons the knowledge of the variables will contribute a lot to the evolution of solar distributed generation in Brazil.por
