Saber e não-saber no estágio em psicologia clínica: um ensaio sobre o lugar da teoria na escuta psicanalítica

Abstract

This work aims to question the place of psychoanalytic theory in psychotherapy sessions carried out by an undergraduate Psychology intern during the academic internship at the Federal University of Santa Maria. To do so, it relies on an essayistic approach, drawing on insights from critical social psychology and psychoanalysis. Firstly, this work proposes to investigate the formation of the territory of Psychology as a distinctive field of knowledge and its epistemological affiliations, with a particular focus on the position held by psychoanalysis in the development of these knowledge areas that emerged from Modernity. Subsequently, different perspectives on the concept of theory within the psychoanalytic field are discussed, highlighting the conflicts and contradictions within this domain. Finally, the focus turns to the experience of psychotherapy sessions, examining the realms of knowledge and non knowledge that permeate clinical listening. It is suggested that psychoanalytic theory allows the intern, who orients his\herself through it, to engage in a listening that supports a form of not-knowing. This stance is grounded in a theoretical position rooted in a particular conception and use of language, which repositions the role of fiction in the subject's discourse and paves the way for its connection with a notion of truth
