Determinantes do investimento privado no Brasil: 2000 - 2020
Souza, Iris de Lima
This paper presents a study on the determinants of private investment in Brazil between 2000
and 2020, with the aim of demonstrating the main characteristics and variables for determining
investment. Through this, we initially seek to present what the Neoclassical, Keynesian and
Kaleckian economic schools of thought discuss about the referred topic. Further on, the review
of the empirical literature brings a synthesis of five articles, with different econometric
applications, but which converge in the formulation of an equation that allows the
understanding of the factors. From this, the multiple regression methodology was used, with
analysis of heteroscedasticity, multicollinearity and the respective significance levels of each
estimator. The dependent variable is private investment and the explanatory variables are public
investment; inflation, interest rates and gross domestic product (GDP). The results show that
private investment in the Brazilian economy is positively influenced by GDP and inflation. So,
a one percent (1%) increase in GDP results in a 3.48% increase in private investment. As for
inflation, an increase of 1% raises private investment by around 0.075%. These are the main
considerations of the model.

Inovação e as revoluções na indústria
Flamino Leandro Gabriel
The study aims to verify how innovation evolved from a theoretical and historical perspective and how its practice
in the global industrial park was revealed. For that, the evolution of what is understood as innovation is verified
along each of the periods of revolutions in the industry. It is also intended to identify which were the innovative
practices and their impacts in each of the periods of the revolutions, summarizing the main contributions on the
understanding of innovation (theoretical and practical) for each period covered. Many concepts of innovation are
neologisms or deviations especially from the first studies by Schumpeter, in which the role of the innovative
process is seen as an essential component to mesh the capitalist process. After Schumpeter's eruditions, numerous
studies on his theory emerged, which gave rise to new alternatives of understanding regarding technical progress
and the innovative process. Such studies are based on new technologies and such research efforts have developed
a theoretical framework for change in the economy, emerging, in this context, schools of economic thought, which
is known as the neo-Schumpeterian current. The method used in the study is exploratory and its classification is
guided by using the bibliographic review technique. It was found that each "Era" of the Industrial Revolution is
equipped with one or more "waves of innovation" and/or technological revolution that have characteristics specific
to their productive development and that there is a strong relationship of dependence on the previous understood
revolution, or that is, the evolution process of the industry and its innovations is a process codependent on what
was established previously

Regulamentação da Comercialização de Alimentos nas Cantinas Escolares do Brasil: mapeamento das legislações estaduais
Salame, Aline Maria
The school environment is a space that can interfere with the formation of habits and
lifestyles, including food. One of the ways to purchase food is school canteens, where
the most commercialized foods have been high-calorie and ultra-processed.
Considering that childhood obesity is a global epidemic, legal provisions are created
to regulate the sale of food in school canteens. Thus, the aim of this study was to map
the Brazilian state legislation that regulates the sale of food in the school environment.
A descriptive study of document analysis was carried out. The laws were searched on
search engines, from May to July 2021. There were thirty-one legal provisions that
regulate the commerce of food and beverages in schools, of which 70.9% (n=22) were
identified as laws, ordinances 12.9% (n=4), resolutions 6.4% (n=2), decrees 6.4%
(n=2) and normative instruction 3.2% (n=1). It was found that in these devices the
description of prohibited foods (77.4%, n=24), allowed (29.0%, n=9), mandatory
(35.48%, n=11) and the addition of optional sugar (12.90%, n=4). The administrative
specificities described were inspections (51.61%, n=16) and non-compliance with legal
provisions (58.0%, n=18). Food and Nutrition Education actions were identified as the
availability of communication material (22.5%, n=7), programs and campaigns
(19.35%, n=6) and training 19.4% (n= 6). It is concluded that the most current
legislation on the trade of food in school canteens has been improved, but there is still
a big gap regarding the permitted foods, involving the choice of adequate foods.
Penalties, inspection and training must be properly analyzed and directed, along with
the development of food and nutrition education actions.

Desigualdades no acesso à educação superior pelo Enem
Nogueira, Andrea Pereira
This study aimed to identify the groups that had higher or lower chances of access to places in IFES, through the average performance of schools in ENEM, in 2013, 2014 and 2015, through the analysis of the consolidated tables provided by INEP. This is an exploratory study of quantitative character, using the technique of cluster analysis multivariate analysis to cluster schools by their performance in ENEM, using as variables the average grade of each school in the four areas of knowledge: Letters and Codes, Mathematics, Biological Sciences and Humanities, plus the note in Writing. As a research problem, to verify if the current Brazilian Program of evaluation of the basic education and selection for the superior education (ENEM), has democratized the access, contributing for the socioeconomic development of the country. As a result, the performance of schools in ENEM was not fair, either by regions of the country, nor by location (urban / rural), nor by administrative dependency (public / private), thus not meeting the first guideline of the Program that democratizing access to IFES. This study indicated different performance results associated with differences in student income, resulting in greater opportunities for students with higher socioeconomic status to take up public higher education, with lower income students remaining in teaching private superior, whose access is restricted by the difficulties of funding. Other results were: high deviations from the Average in Writing and Mathematics, suggesting a greater unevenness in knowledge, targeting policies for curriculum restructuring; and low relationship between teacher education and exam performance.
