Introduction: Satisfaction in the hospital work environment is associated with motivation,
attitude or positive emotional state, which are expectations that professionals have of their
work. In the context of the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2)
pandemic, many changes have occurred in the execution of work and in society's habits, in
order to control the spread of the virus. In the face of the pandemic, many issues have arisen
and changed the work routine of nurses, who are not only primarily responsible for managing
teams and sectors, but also provide direct patient care. These changes have had a direct impact
on their job satisfaction. Objective: To analyze the job satisfaction of nurses in their work
environment after the Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) pandemic. Method: a quantitative,
cross-sectional study carried out at a large university hospital in Rio Grande do Sul. A total of
144 nurses working at the hospital were invited to take part in the study. Data was collected
using three instruments: a sociodemographic instrument, the S20/23 instrument and the Job
Satisfaction Scale. Descriptive and analytical statistics were used for analysis. Results: when
the Job Satisfaction Scale was applied, it was found that workers were satisfied with their
coworkers (Mean= 5,14; SD= 0,92) and manager (Mean= 5,03; SD= 1,11), and dissatisfied with
promotions at work (Mean= 3,97; SD= 1,21). Nurses without children were more satisfied with
their managers (p= 0,02). It was also found that nurses without children were more indifferent
in terms of general satisfaction when compared to those with children (p=0,03). Divorced
professionals were dissatisfied with their salary (p= 0,00). There was dissatisfaction with salary
among professionals who worked the morning shift (p= 0,02). Professionals who worked in
closed sectors during the pandemic were dissatisfied with their salary (p= 0,01) and promotions
(p= 0,04). With the S20/23 instrument, there was satisfaction in the dimension relating to
intrinsic work relationships (Mean= 4,03; SD= 0,70). With regard to hierarchical relations
(Mean= 3,54; SD= 0,86) and the physical environment (Mean= 3,42; SD= 0,98), there was
indifference, especially with regard to the issues of negotiating the contracting of benefits
(Mean= 3,07; SD= 1,19), and the ventilation of the work environment (Mean= 3,28; SD= 1,26)
respectively. Nurses working in closed sectors were more satisfied with the physical
environment than nurses in open sectors (p= 0,00). Nurses who worked in closed sectors with
COVID-19 care, and sectors that did not treat positive COVID-19 patients, were more satisfied
with the physical environment dimension than those who worked in open sectors that treated
COVID-19 patients (p= 0,00). Conclusions: dissatisfaction with promotion at work highlights
the need to build strategies that make it feasible for nurses. Nurses' satisfaction with their work
as a source of fulfillment must be maintained and improved in order to promote health and wellbeing. Furthermore, attention needs to be paid to the structure and physical environment of the
workplace in order to provide favorable working environments.

The field of mental health has undergone several transformations over the centuries, among the significant advances marked in history is the Brazilian Psychiatric Reform, which values humanitarian care carried out in freedom. In this sense, one of the weaknesses related to the strengthening of the reformist movement is the response to situations of psychological crisis in the urgent and emergency service. This study had the general objective of evaluating care actions in mental health crisis care in an urgent and emergency service. This is a qualitative study, based on the Fourth Generation Assessment. This method was based on a constructivist and responsive assessment with a hermeneutic-dialectic approach. The study location was an Emergency Care Unit, located in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul. The study participants were 18 health professionals who worked in that unit. To collect information, this research used observation and semi-structured interviews using the Hermeneutic-Dialetic Circle as techniques. The following steps were developed in the fieldwork: Contact with the field, organization of the evaluation, identification of interest groups, development of joint constructions, expansion of joint constructions, preparation of the agenda for negotiation and execution of the negotiation. The information was analyzed using the Constant Comparative Method. Regarding the legislation on research with human beings, Resolution No. 466 of December 12, 2012, all ethical precepts in force were respected. From the constructions of the evaluation process, four categories emerged: Access to mental health care in an urgent and emergency service; Feelings and perceptions regarding mental health care in an urgent and emergency service; Interventions carried out in mental health crisis care; Challenges in mental health crisis care. The care actions demonstrated in the evaluation process were physical and chemical restraints, the use of police force and the limited use of qualified listening. This research contributed to knowledge on the topic of mental crisis care and can be used in the continuing education of health professionals, focusing on urgency and emergency.

Religiosity/Spirituality (R/S) are considered the main strategies used by patients and family
members in the face of the illness process. The Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic has had
impacts on the economy, politics, religion, public health and the mental health of society as a
whole. Faced with the scenario of isolation and hospitalization in the Covid Intensive Care Unit
(Covid ICU), spiritual support is an important support tool accessed by families, a source of
hope, recognition of their suffering and beliefs. The objective of this research is to understand
the R/E experiences experienced by family members of patients hospitalized in the Covid ICU.
This is a qualitative research, based on the theoretical-methodological framework of Grounded
Theory (GT). As a reference site for capturing families, the Covid ICU of the University
Hospital of Santa Maria (HUSM) was selected. 12 families participated, totaling 15 people,
who experienced the R/S experience when having a family member hospitalized in the Covid
ICU. Inclusion criteria: being a reference family member of the patient who was hospitalized
in the Covid ICU, regardless of clinical evolution, religion or creed, and being 18 years of age
or older. Exclusion criteria: families that did not obtain access/contact after three attempts and
people who had cognitive limitations that prevented them from answering the interview
questions. Data were collected at the families' homes or through the google meet virtual
platform, from June 2022 to February 2023, through in-depth interviews recorded in audio and
transcribed in full. For data storage and organization, the Nvivo® program was used. Data
analysis was performed using the GT Constant Comparative Method. The ethical precepts
established in Resolution 466/12 were followed during all stages of the investigation, and the
research was approved by the Research Ethics Committee under opinion No. 5,346,454. Data
analysis resulted in six categories: Being “run over” by the illness; Dealing with the complexity
of illness and hospitalization in the ICU; Empowering yourself through R/E; Seeking to
minimize suffering; Preparing for the death of the family member and Rejoicing at discharge
from the ICU. From these, it was possible to identify the central category called R/S as a
resource to minimize the suffering of a family member hospitalized in the Covid ICU. The
category highlights the movement that the family performs from the discovery of the diagnosis
and illness by Covid-19, the difficulties faced with hospitalization, going through the strategies
to face the illness and hospitalization until the outcome of the process, with hospital discharge
or death of the familiar. Knowing the understanding of family members when having a member
hospitalized in the Covid ICU can contribute to reflection and dialogue on the role of R/S in the
education and training of health professionals and assistance, as a strategy for better care for
people and women. families in times of pandemic and other serious situations that pose a threat
to life.

Childcare nursing consultation is a strategy for monitoring and follow-up children's health.
The nurse who works in Primary Health Care (PHC) has the following duties: care and
health education actions aimed at child growth and development, support for breastfeeding,
control of immunizations, sleep, hygiene and accident prevention. The consultation reflects
on the promotion of child health and prevention of health problems, for this reason, this
practice needs to be conducted in a qualified manner for the healthy growth and
development of the child. General Objective: to understand the experience of PHC nurses
in childcare consultations. Specific objectives: discuss barriers and facilitators for
development of childcare consultation and strategies for its qualification in the experience
of PHC nurses. Method: Qualitative research. Data collection occurred using the Focus
Group technique, after approval by the Research Ethics Committee of the Federal
University of Santa Maria under CAAE number 67681123.1.0000.5346 and opinion
number 5,969,876. Six face-to-face meetings were held with twelve nurses working in
PHC in a municipality in the Central region of Rio Grande do Sul. Thematic Content
Analysis was used to analyze the data. Results: Three thematic categories emerged.
Elements and circumstances that facilitate nursing consultations in childcare: use of
materials from Ministry of Health to conduct the consultation, interspersed care with a
doctor and multidisciplinary team, bond and trust in the consultation carried out by the
nurse since prenatal care, adequate physical structure and available materials, use of social
media to publicize actions. Barriers to nursing consultations in childcare: lack of
understanding among pacients and healthcare team about the importance of consultation
and the nurse's work, multiparity, preference for consultation with pediatrician, large
territories areas and a high children's demand for childcare, nurse overload, inadequate
physical structure and precarious or unavailable materials, complexity of childcare
consultations, scarcity of continuing education actions in Child Health. Strategies for
development of childcare nursing consultations: dissemination of successful actions
involving childcare advertising on social media, creation of support materials to guide
consultations such as a website, checklist, videos and serial albums, continuing education
and qualify professionals with workshops and conversation circles. Final considerations:
facilitators, barriers and strategies based on experience will enable the (re)organization of
priorities and behaviors to improve childcare care. For health professionals, especially
Nursing, this study reinforces the need to continuously execute the professional
qualification process for development of a childcare consultation based on scientific
knowledge, aligned with different contexts of services and realities of children and their
families.
