Rastreamento e estratégias de prevenção para o câncer do colo do útero no sul do Brasil
Abstract
O câncer do colo do útero (CCU) é o segundo câncer mais comum em mulheres em todo o mundo. Têm como principal agente causador o Papiloma Vírus Humano (HPV), que é transmitido principalmente por via sexual e sua vinculação com o desenvolvimento do câncer cervical já é bem conhecida. O rastreamento é realizado através da citologia oncótica, caracterizada como estratégia de prevenção secundária para detecção precoce e tratamento de lesões pré-cancerosas. Já a estratégia de prevenção primária está relacionada à diminuição do risco de contágio pelo HPV através da vacinação. O presente trabalho é uma análise histórica de dados sobre o câncer cervical provenientes de indicadores disponíveis no DATASUS - SISCOLO, com base em programas de rastreamento do Brasil de 2006 a 2014, além da análise de dados da cobertura da campanha nacional de vacinação para HPV na região Sul do Brasil, realizado através de um estudo retrospectivo, descritivo. Ao analisar os dados obtidos, observa-se que 88,15% dos exames realizados pertencem a faixa etária de 25 a 64 anos de idade, conforme preconizado pelo Ministério da Saúde. A prevalência de alterações no exame citopatológico predomina nas mulheres entre 20 e 29 anos (27,8%) no sul do Brasil. Conclui-se desta forma que a realização do exame citopatológico é uma ferramenta imprescindível na detecção precoce de alterações que possam levar ao desenvolvimento do câncer de colo de útero. É uma medida simples, rápida, eficaz e de baixo custo, que deve a cada dia ser mais estimulada tanto pela gestão como também pelos profissionais das Equipes de Saúde da Família. Se realizados exames de diagnóstico e tratamento precoce os riscos da lesão evoluir para uma neoplasia serão raros e a qualidade de vida dessas usuárias melhora de forma acentuada.
