Os efeitos da prática de jump sobre o equilíbrio e tempo de reação de mulheres
Abstract
A prática de atividades físicas traz benefícios importantíssimos para quem
pratica, pois melhora a auto-estima, a imagem corporal, as funções cognitivas e
a sociabilização, diminui o estresse e a ansiedade, auxiliando também no
aumento da força, flexibilidade, agilidade, equilíbrio, coordenação, tempo de
reação. O Jump, enquanto atividade física é muito procurado nas academias
por proporcionar prazer e motivação, auxiliar na obtenção ou manutenção dos
níveis de condicionamento físico para realização das tarefas do cotidiano, e
promover a melhora da aptidão física. O objetivo deste estudo foi verificar os
efeitos da prática de Jump sobre o equilíbrio e o tempo de reação de mulheres.
Fizeram parte do estudo 12 mulheres com média de idade 22,9 ± 3,31 anos.
Os instrumentos utilizados para a coleta de dados foram o Teste de Equilíbrio
Estático Stork Stand (Johnson & Nelson, 1986) e o teste de Tempo de Reação
Simples e de Escolha (Pereira et al., 2007). Para a análise dos dados utilizouse
o Pacote Estatístico SPSS for Windows versão 14.0 e com nível de
significância de 5%. O teste Shappiro Wilk foi usado para a verificação da normalidade e Teste t pareado para verificar a diferença entre pré e pós-teste.
Os resultados mostraram que houve diferença estatisticamente significativa
somente para o tempo de reação simples (t= 6,36; p= 0,000), concluindo que o
Jump atuou provocando melhora no tempo de reação simples deste grupo. Já
para o equilíbrio e o tempo de reação de escolha, mesmo havendo uma
melhora de pré para pós-testes, os resultados não foram significativos
estatisticamente.
