A visão dos sujeitos internados em uma unidade de oncologia sobre o tratamento da dor: significados e expressão da vivência
Abstract
Este estudo tem abordagem qualitativa e objetivou compreender, a partir da perspectiva do
sujeito, que significados atribui a dor e o quanto se sente seguro para expressá-la. Foi realizado
durante o período de setembro a novembro de 2018, em uma unidade de internação para
tratamento oncológico de um hospital de médio porte no interior do Rio Grande do Sul.
Participaram oito sujeitos (seis homens e duas mulheres), maiores de 18 anos, com diagnóstico
oncológico confirmado, que faziam uso de via alternativa de alimentação. Para a coleta de
informações foi utilizada entrevista semiestruturada (gravada e transcrita), incluindo o uso da
Escala Analógica Visual de Dor (EVA) e a proposta de que os sujeitos representassem a dor por
meio de desenho, além do registro em diário de campo. Para discussão das informações foi
adotada a análise narrativa, pela qual conclui-se que a dor é considerada uma experiência física
desagradável e remete a experiência de um sofrimento de caráter existencial, constituindo-se
como uma ameaça a identidade de quem precisa conviver com ela. Sua expressão nem sempre é
clara e sofre interferência das respostas percebidas no ambiente e crenças associadas a ela.
Ressalta-se a importância de outros estudos acerca do tema, bem como percebe-se a necessidade
de favorecer a expressão dos sujeitos possibilitando que sua fala dê sentido e lugar ao que é
vivido. Para tanto, o uso da Escala Visual Analógica de Dor (EVA) e recursos que estimulem o
potencial criativo podem ser um meio de expressão e intervenção.
