Avaliação dos níveis de estresse de residentes de um programa de residência multiprofissional em saúde
Abstract
O estresse é capaz de produzir reações adaptativas no organismo dos indivíduos à mudanças no ambiente onde está inserido. O objetivo desse estudo foi verificar o nível de estresse ocupacional entre os profissionais residentes do 1º ano e 2º ano do Programa de Residência Multiprofissional Integrada em Saúde da Universidade Federal de Santa Maria. Trata-se de um estudo transversal de caráter quantitativo-descritivo realizado com os residentes multiprofissionais a partir da aplicação da Escala de Estresse no Trabalho (EET) e do levantamento de características sociodemográficas e do trabalho desses profissionais. A análise dos dados se deu por meio da frequência absoluta e relativa e da análise bivariada através dos testes qui-quadrado e Exato de Fisher com significância estatística com o p<0,05. A maioria dos residentes é do sexo feminino (95,2%) , sem filhos (95,2%), cursam o primeiro ano de residência (53%). Verificou-se que dos 46 residentes pertencentes apenas ao 1º ano, 23 (50%) desses, pontuaram baixo nível de estresse, enquanto que 14 (30,4%) mostraram-se com alto nível de estresse. Já em relação apenas aos 37 residentes pertencentes ao 2º ano de residência, 17 (45,9%) deles pontuaram médio nível de estresse e 15 (40,5%) alto nível de estresse. No que se refere à alteração de peso e o nível de estresse, observou-se associação significativa inversamente proporcional, bem como em relação à satisfação no trabalho na residência e o nível de estresse dos residentes. Espera-se que essa pesquisa contribua positivamente para instigar a mudança em muitos dos processos de trabalho existentes no local onde atuam esses profissionais.
