As relações públicas como agente de transformação por meio de ações de empreendedorismo social: o estudo da ONG Infância Ação em Santa Maria/RS
Abstract
As Organizações do Terceiro Setor (ONGs) têm desempenhado um papel de suma importância, visto a disparidade social da realidade brasileira e mundial. São organizações que buscam atender às demandas das comunidades que não têm sido acolhidas satisfatoriamente pelo Estado, em setores como saúde, educação, cultura, esporte e lazer. Para além do trabalho das ONGs, também surge com força cada vez maior o conceito de empreendedorismo social, que vai ganhando espaço de discussão nas diferentes áreas de trabalho e busca transformar realidades, com baixo investimento financeiro, mas causando
alto impacto social. Nesse sentido, observando a necessidade constante de profissionais que se insiram nesse contexto do terceiro setor, mas que possam ir além do assistencialismo, é que surge o problema de pesquisa: como as relações-públicas podem contribuir na transformação de realidades através do empreendedorismo social? Para responder a esse
questionamento é que nos propomos a estudar o trabalho desenvolvido pela ONG Infância Ação, tendo como objetivo geral identificar a contribuição da área de relações-públicas no desenvolvimento de projetos de empreendedorismo social. E, como objetivos específicos procuramos conhecer o campo das relações-públicas comunitárias e salientar as contribuições da área na transformação social de realidades; aproximar as áreas de relações-públicas e do empreendedorismo social, além de analisar o trabalho desenvolvido por profissionais de Relações Públicas na ONG e a contribuição da área para o desenvolvimento do projeto. Mesmo que ainda não de forma efetiva, o que identificamos ao final do estudo é o potencial existente na profissão de relações públicas, com suas técnicas e habilidades, para atuar como empreendedor social, estando presente no terceiro setor e do que hoje conhecemos como relações públicas comunitárias, vindo a interferir na realidade local buscando transformar a
vida das pessoas atendidas.
