“Inhaí, Mona, tá passada?” - o funcionamento discursivo do vocabulário Bajubá por meio de tweets

Abstract

The present study proposes an analysis of tweets (posts from the social network Twitter) in which the Bajubá vocabulary is present. Therefore, this work aims to demonstrate and understand how this vocabulary works, explaining its social and political relevance. This research is theoretically based on French materialist Discourse Analysis. The section studied is based on posts that were selected through the site's own search bar searching for vocabulary keywords, such as “mona”, “amapô” and “acué”, among others. From this, the selected tweets were divided into three categories based on their common aspects, in an effort to explain how the vocabulary works. Finally, it was possible to conclude that the Bajubá vocabulary can function in different ways, whether due to the possibilities of meaning it engenders, its confidential nature (in code) or the marking of the subject's position, presenting different ties with history, with the social and the political.
