Abstract

The present work has the theme “The reading in the fundamental school and the paper of the school director in the formation of citizenship reader”. It realized through of bibliographic and field research. The work had as objective to study and to analyze the importance of reading and to discuss the contributions and the school director paper in the development and citizenship of reader. We can say that the reading is important and necessary to life of human being, because through this we can have access to an infinity of knowledge about ourselves and the world. Like this we can observe, from of various readings, that the act to read constitute in the instrument of fight against the domination and the critical and make with that the reader not only understand the ideas passed to an author but also position in front of her. The teacher, while intervene and conquering of the reader and oriented to the school director, he must be reference point to the “knowledges” of the habit to read.
