Transformações vitais: o ser humano por um olhar pictório

Abstract

The present work is the result of a practical-theoretical research that presents the series of paintings of my own, entitled Transformações Vitais (Vital Transformations), from the development and understanding of the process of creation in the language of painting. The paintings selected for the Series were held between 2013 and 2018, in the Ateliê de Pintura 1336 (painting studio), at UFSM or in my residence, all of which have as technique, oil painting on canvas. Within this Series, thematic themes (and still being) have been opened that can contribute to the questions that involve the paintings, with the intention of enriching the interpretations about them. For this, the research is based on theoretical references that cover the relationship between art and life, the human being in the context of contemporary society, the processes of creation in the visual arts and in the language of painting. Therefore, this work reached its objectives, since it provided a reflection and contextualization on the paintings of the Series, as well as, made possible the understanding and the discovery of some questions which, are considered complex or enigmatic in a given moment of the creative process. In this way, new knowledge, reflections and questions have emerged that open the way to new paths of my creation process in painting.
