No amor não há pecado: o estudo do melodrama na escrita de uma peça melodramática LGBTQIA+

Abstract

This research aims to create a theatrical play with an LGBTQIA+ theme, which explores the main elements of melodrama, a popular theatrical genre that emerged in France in the 19th century. Thus, a study is carried out on the history of melodrama, its main characteristics and updates of the genre found today. Furthermore, in the study, I retrieve information that favors the understanding of the LGBTQIA+ community today, relating my own experience with the community. All the theoretical foundation serves as basis for writing the play presented as one of the results of the research. Its main purpose is to reverse society's distorted view of this cause. The work also narrates and analyzes the creation process of the created theatrical text.
