dc.description.abstract | Smart Grids (SG) enable better management, control and monitoring of the distribution and
consumption of electricity. Under the scenario of an SG, with smart meters that allow the
exchange of information in the network, the use of Multi-Agent Systems (MAS) becomes viable
to assist the communication between existing equipment, interconnecting them, allowing to
maintain the high performance indexes and power quality required by regulatory agencies. The
use of MAS makes the network more autonomous and flexible, enabling restoration, analysis
and quality management in the supply of electric energy and, fault section estimation.
Therefore, the modeling and simulation of a generic distribution network. The test system was
developed using the HYPERSIM software, by OPAL-RT Technologies. Subsequently, an MAS
architecture was designed to implement in the electrical grid. For the creation and development
of agents, the Java Agent Development framework (JADE) was used. The intention is to
estimate with good precision the section that the fault occurred, allowing a greater speed in
terms of restoration of the affected section and correction of the problem. Studies of possible
fault scenarios were developed in the test system, among the cases analyzed, the following stand
out: meter connection branch, low voltage side of the transformer and medium voltage network
of the transformer. In addition, it also seeks to analyze the power quality supplied to residential
consumers, respecting technical indicators. The results obtained for all the analyzed scenarios
were satisfactory, the faults were correctly located, allowing the reestablishment of the energy. | eng |

utilizado o framework Java Agent Development (JADE).
