Interfaces entre Terapia Ocupacional e Musicoterapia no tratamento de pessoas com Transtorno do Espectro Autista

Abstract

In the present work, a bibliographical review is presented on the importance of the transdisciplinary work between Occupational Therapy and Music Therapy to benefit the treatment of people with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). With this work, it was intended to broaden the research related to these themes in order to collaborate with the construction of the knowledge of the theme for the continued education. The objectives for this research were to describe the importance of transdisciplinary work in the areas of Occupational Therapy and Music Therapy to assist in the treatment of people with Autism Spectrum Disorder; to elaborate a bibliographical revision from the publications to contribute to the formation of Occupational Therapy verifying the importance of the approach of musical resources by the occupational therapist. The method used for this research was to perform a bibliographic search in the databases available by UFSM, such as: Scielo, CAPES journal portal, articles, books, theses and national dissertations available in the UFSM digital library. And a search in Occupational Therapy journals, such as: Revisbrato, Journal of Occupational Therapy of USP, Journal of Occupational Therapy in Bahia (EBMSP), Chilean Journal of Occupational Therapy and in the Brazilian Cadernos de Terapia Ocupacional; It was verified that there are no studies or practices relating the two areas, but that they work with several common goals, be it in the areas of human development, education, family context, inclusion and active participation in their communities, providing effective treatment the to disabled person and his / her family highlighting the importance of the two areas acting together in the treatment of the person with ASD.
