dc.description.abstract | This study had for purpose to determine the behavior of physiologic variables and of cyclists'
performance submitted to 5 days training with diet normal mixed isocalóric. They were appraised
3 cyclists of montain bike of state level with average of age of 20 (2) years, body mass of 75,3
(3,6) kg, stature of 1,82 (0,09) m and VO2 máx of 4,75 (0,48) l/min. A diet mixed normal
isocalóric was supplied (60% CHO, 25% fats, 15% proteins), in the 6 days in that the individuals
accomplished the trainings. The adopted procedures were: determination of the metabolic rate
of rest, maximum progressive test (MPT) pré-test (initial load of 100 W, added of 16,7 W every
minute, even maximum voluntary fatigue), 5 training sessions with intensity of 80% of the VO2
máx, test maximum progressive post-test (same to the pré-test). The analyzed variables were
VO2 (l/min), HR (bpm), rate exchange respiratory, lactate (mmol) and power output (W). The
descriptive statistics was used for the variables of characterization of the sample and scores
found for VO2, RQ, lactate, HR and potency, so much for the training sessions as for MPT,
being analyzed the average and deviation-pattern of each variable for every minute. All the
variables analyzed during the training sessions they were compared, minute to minute through
the no-parametric statistics, using the test of Kruskall - Wallis, assuming a significânce level
same to 0,05, through the software STATISTICA 6.0. The test of Wilcoxon was used to
compare the pre values and post-test, however, this comparison was only made among the
loads completed by the 3 cyclists in both situations, and enter the maximum values. The results
found for the variables studied during the training sessions they didn't differ significantly during
the week, however when analyzed the values of MPT, in the pre situations and post-test, a
reduction was observed in the potency production (maximal and sub maximal), us too much
values maximal were not found differences significant estatistic. The blood lactate was larger in
the post-test (p <0,05). it is Ended that for the studied group the use of a diet normal isocalóric
was enough when the objective is to maintain the stocks of muscle glycogen, however other
factors as intensity, frequency and duration of the training sessions should be investigated,
looking for better to understand the phenomenal that would be responsible for the fall in the
maximal potency. | eng |

Todas as variáveis analisadas durante as
do software STATISTICA 6.0.
significativas.
