dc.description.abstract | It is known that the principal mark of any phonologic therapy is to occur generalization, even that, the
same permits that a worked sound will be used correct in other contexts or in non trained environment,
this way, reducing the treatment time of a child with phonologic deviation. Thus, this study had as
objective to verify the structural aspects of the obtained generalization by four subjects with phonologic
deviation submitted to the treatment with the rhotics in two models of phonologic therapy: Model “ABAB –
Retreat and Multiple Proofs”, proposed by Tyler & Figurski (1994); and Model of Maximum Oppositions,
proposed by Gierut (1992). The selected subjects, four sex masculine children with ages between 4:0 and
6:4, making part of the data bank of the Study Center of the Language and speech (CELF) were treaty
with one of the rhotics /r/ or /R/ in the first cycle of treatment. Diagnosis of phonologic deviation was
determined by phonoaudiologic, phonologic and complemental valuations. Analysis of the data of speech
was based in the Phonologic Valuation of the Child (YAVAS, HERNANDORENA & LAMPRECHT, 1990)
and was applied in the beginning of the treatment. Treatment used was the Model “ABAB - Retreat and
Multiple Proofs” (TYLER & FIGURSKI, 1994) or the Model of Maximum Oppositions, (GIERUT, 1992).
Through the valuation of the Phonetic Inventory, from the Phonologic System and the Changed Distinctive
Traces of each subject in pre and post treatment, the following structural aspects of the generalization
were observed: generalization to item non used in the treatment, to other position in the word, inside a
sound class, to others sound classes and based in the implicational relations. With the analysis of the
results, was verified that the generalization inside a sound class was obtained by three researched
subjects, being that the only subject that not presented this kind of generalization was treated by Model of
Maximum Oppositions Modified with the /R/ x /I/ pair. Besides, the generalization to the other sound
classes was occurred in two subjects of the research. However, the two other researched subjects did not
present this kind of generalization, being that each one was treated by one of the cited models in this
research, and with different rhotics too. Even the generalization based in the implicational relations did not
occur only to the subject treated bi Model “ABAB - Retreat and Multiple Proofs” with the /R/ rhotic. Even
the others three subjects presented this generalization, in the majority of times agreeing with the MICT
(MOTA, 1996), only with exceptions referring to the acquisition order of the liquids. By the end, the Model
of Maximum Opposition Modified carried to the major number of acquisitions post treatment, being able to
justified by the fact that were contrasted two new phonemes happening possibility of, over there the rhotic
of the pair, the other aim-sound take to generalizations. | eng |

Além disso, a
par, o outro som-alvo levar a generalizações. | por |
