O controle comunicacional da Coreia do Norte na literatura de não ficção

Abstract

North Korea is a country that constantly attracts attention because of its isolation from the rest of the world and because of its Dictator. This work aims to understand how nonfiction literature portrays the communicational domain and censorship of information in North Korea. As well as specific objectives to analyze how informational control is exposed in North Korea. For this, it is necessary to understand the North Korean censorship from non-fiction literature, the books Dear Leader and Escape from Camp 14 were selected, because the agendas of different realities resulted in the same restlessness to flee North Korea. To debate the censorship of information and the importance of freedom in the construction of society, we used theoretical and methodological propositions from Critical Discourse Analysis. Based on all the analysis and bibliographical references, it was possible to understand how censorship and discourse affect the reality of a society, especially in North Korea. Therefore, it was possible to find reflections on the issue due to the impact of language on the mental maps of North Koreans.
