"Fruto do vosso sangue, mulher": processo de criação em vídeoperformance

Abstract

The present work is the presentation of an experience report on how to complete the bachelor's degree in dance at the Center for Arts and Letters (CAL) of the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM). It is a study that addresses a creative process in contemporary art under the bias of a video performance, anchored above all, in Archer, Rey, Leote and Codevilla. The work resulting from the creative process was called "Fruit of your blood, woman". The intention sought to investigate the concept of sacred in contexts of the female universe, relating menstrual blood to the figure of a tree. This is a hose that is in the same residence in which the author also lives, passing through the last four generations of women from the artist's maternal family, including the author herself. The work was based, methodologically, on the writing of autobiographical diaries that reflected the relationship of the author with menstruation, with the tree hose, with the last generations of women from the maternal part of her family, also, with the universe of the sacred itself, referred to mainly in Calado. In addition, the bibliographic review of the concept of sacred, especially based on Eliade, and its possible developments in feminine and tree contexts, mainly anchored in Estés and Owen, contributed to the theoretical-practical developments of the work. The reflections contemplated in this writing pointed to the numerous creative and sacred processes that involve performances, being a woman and being a mother. In addition, the relationships found directed the processes to demonstrate the connection between blood and genealogy roots glimpsed in the hose figure.
