Análise da influência da variação de temperatura no desempenho de pavimentos asfálticos à fadiga a partir do modelo S-VECD
Abstract
Misturas asfálticas apresentam uma forte correlação entre temperatura e suas propriedades mecânicas. No Brasil, utiliza-se o método de dimensionamento de pavimentos asfálticos do DNER que desconsidera a temperatura para avaliar o comportamento da mistura asfáltica diante dos carregamentos advindos do tráfego. Portanto, em regiões de alta variabilidade térmica durante o ano ou, até mesmo, durante o dia, caso da região central do Rio Grande do Sul, não leva-se em conta a influência que essas alterações na temperatura têm sobre parâmetros mecânicos da mistura. Sendo assim, faz-se necessário adotar uma nova metodologia que considere a suscetibilidade térmica da camada de concreto asfáltico. Para investigar essa influência, são usadas ferramentas que analisam as propriedades viscoelásticas dos pavimentos. No presente trabalho, foi utilizado o software LVECD (Layered Viscoelastic Pavement Analysis for Critical Distresses) com dados de entrada de propriedades viscoelásticas advindos do ensaio de módulo complexo, dados de fadiga obtidos pelo ensaio uniaxial cíclico de fadiga à tração-compressão e dados de temperatura que simulam o clima de Santa Maria/RS com suas variações térmicas diárias e sazonais em diferentes profundidades do pavimento e, a partir disto, obter o dano por fadiga a partir do modelo S-VECD. Os resultados foram comparados com simulações feitas a diferentes condições de temperatura e foram aplicadas as funções de transferência propostas por Nascimento (2015) para converter o dano em porcentagem de área trincada e fazer uma comparação entre essa abordagem e a do MeDiNa, o novo método nacional de dimensionamento. Os resultados mostraram que a consideração da variação de temperatura resultou em menores valores de dano e de área trincada para os casos estudados quando comparados com os resultados considerando temperatura constante. Ademais, a análise econômica mostrou que o LVECD resultou em custos menores por aplicação de carga que o MeDiNa.
