Desenvolvimento preliminar de uma argamassa colante geopolimérica
Abstract
O avanço da construção civil, atrelado ao crescimento do mercado de produtos cerâmicos,
estimula a produção de argamassas colantes que são utilizadas para o assentamento de placas
cerâmicas. A NBR 14081-1 (ABNT, 2012) classifica as argamassas de acordo com a sua
finalidade de aplicação, deste modo a AC I é indicada para aplicação de revestimentos internos
e apresenta tempo em aberto de 15 min e resistência de aderência mínima de 0,5 MPa. Como
alternativa ao tipo de ligante tradicionalmente empregado para a produção dessas argamassas
surgem os ligantes de baixo impacto ambiental, como é o caso dos álcali-ativados do tipo
geopolímero. A síntese ocorre através da reação química de um material aluminossilicato
amorfo que é ativado por uma solução alcalina. Sendo assim, o presente trabalho teve por
objetivo avaliar preliminarmente um traço de argamassa geopolimérica sem aditivos para o
assentamento de placas cerâmicas e comparar o seu desempenho com uma argamassa colante
industrializada comercial do tipo ACI. Foi utilizado metacaulim (MK) como fonte de
aluminossilicato e uma solução ativadora de hidróxido de sódio e silicato de sódio comerciais,
relação 1:1 (MK:areia), Na2O= 15% Ms=0,75 e relação água/ligante de 0,30. As amostras foram
avaliadas quanto ao tempo em aberto, deslizamento reduzido e resistência de aderência à tração
para a condição de cura normal, imersa em água e aquecida em estufa. Nos resultados,
observou-se tempo em aberto (15 min) e resistência de aderência (1,51 MPa) superiores ao da
argamassa colante industrializada (material de referência) e deslizamento reduzido (1,050 mm)
dentro dos valores da norma, o que mostra a viabilidade de aplicação de geopolímeros para a
produção de argamassas colante sem aditivos.
