Instrumento de avaliação da satisfação com o curso de graduação utilizando a Teoria de Resposta ao Item

Abstract

Satisfaction has been recent topic of several surveys, not just has been, as their number has grown considerably in recent years. The reason is that institutions, companies, sectors of the economy, has understood that satisfaction is a very important element in the loyalty and attraction of new customers. Thus, the vision of Higher Education Institutions has also turned to this fact, so that it becomes relevant for them the evaluation of the satisfaction of their students. In this context, the Item Response Theory (TRI) has been increasingly used to measure subjective aspects of a given population. Thus, this study takes advantage of the TRI and seeks to study the possibility of creating an instrument to evaluate the satisfaction of students in an graduation course. For that, the techniques, materials and variables that are presented in the literature on satisfaction and TRI were studied. Afterwards, a questionnaire was elaborated that sought to fulfill this objective. With a broad analysis of the results it was possible to verify the validity and reliability of the instrument. As it was possible to understand the behavior of the latent trait (satisfaction) through the analysis of the bisserial correlation of items, characteristic curves and their parameters a and b, and also to identify the factors and items that most influence the satisfaction of the respondent students. It was also made the association of variables with the items of the instrument, where the only relationship found was the higher level of dissatisfaction of the female respondents. Finally, a valid instrument containing 27 strong items with good discrimination power was obtained, as well as a complete analysis with the interpretation of it.
