Abstract

The present work has the objective of presenting a waterproofing system from a project point of view in its execution, considering the image from a water point of view and pointing out as part of the construction of its waterproofing. A methodological approach to research is formed as qualitative, allows the inductive interpretation of data. As to its nature, it is classified as applied, seeks to become competent for a practical application, and as to the study, it is an exploratory question. The work was motivated by the great demand for problems due to lack or poor waterproofing. It is noted that a large part of the finding of problems comes from the lack of follow-up or lack of understanding of the execution processes by professionals in the area. In view of this, some curricula were analyzed to verify where and how the teaching of waterproofing is inserted in civil engineering and architecture courses. In order to collaborate with the students and professionals of the area, the objective research on the creation of a book on waterproofing, covering various aspects and the subject in a clear and concise manner. For this, an approach is taken in aspects of editorial design as a basis for the development of the book's editorial project.
