Comparativo de técnicas para garantia da qualidade na indústria metalmecânica: setor de usinagem

Abstract

This research presents a study about the techniques for quality assurance used by companies in the metalworking industry in the Alto Tietê region, state of São Paulo. Through this, the techniques recommended by the literature for quality assurance were compared with the reality of small, medium and large companies in the region. The method used to carry out the research was a study of multiple cases, based on data obtained through semi-structured individual interviews with managers, analysts and technicians responsible for quality management in companies. The results show that factors such as the management model adopted, focus on manufacturing the parts, nationality and, mainly, the size of the company, are the main factors influencing the choice of techniques for quality assurance. It was concluded that much of what is presented in the literature in relation to quality assurance techniques is applied in the routine management of companies in the Alto Tietê region, mainly in large companies of Japanese origin.
