dc.description.abstract | This present research, named as “The Use of Digital Games in the Teaching of Mathematics in
Professional and Technological Education”, was developed in the Postgraduate Course in
Vocational and Technological Education of the Industrial Technical College of Santa Maria
(CTISM/UFSM), in the line of research Innovation for Professional and Technological
Education. This study is justified by the interest in investigating how the Digital Educational
Games (DEG) can contribute to the Teaching of Mathematics integrated to the Vocational and
Technological Education (PTE), and, to this, we searched ways in which DEG could improve
the teaching of Mathematics, investigating how they are used in the PTE, and, also,
complementing this research, we developed the “Anoki” DEG, focused on teaching first degree
equations, which was implemented between teachers and students of high schools with PTE,
evaluating its contribution in the education of Mathematics. The technical procedure used in
this research was Design-based Research, also known as DBR, linked to a qualitative and
quantitative approach. With this procedure, we were able to perform two interactive cycles to
evaluate the developed product. Teachers of Mathematics of the PTE network participated in
the first interactive cycle and students of high school integrated to the PTE network were
involved in the second interactive cycle. At the ending of each interactive cycle, we verified
that the DEG has potential to assist mathematics classes, being classified by teachers as a game
with excellent quality and by students as a game with good quality to educative purposes, based
on the agreement scale established for evaluating the developed game. With the feedbacks
received, we will continue to improve the digital game and integrate new resources and content to the current project. | eng |

no 2º ciclo iterativo envolvemos alunos do Ensino Médio Integrado à EPT.
