Redução de danos: atuação do Terapeuta Ocupacional através dessa abordagem no Centro de Atenção Psicossocial Álcool E Drogas (CAPSAD)

Abstract

The present work is a research that seeks to understand how the Harm Reduction approach is used through occupational therapists who work in psychosocial attention centres for alcohol and other drugs (CAPSad) which are located in Rio Grande do Sul (RS). Used as methodology exploratory qualitative research, the information was obtained through interviews with three occupational therapists who work in CAPSad from different cities in RS. Data collection was through semi-structured interviews via Google Meet recorded and later transcribed so that the participating professionals had greater openness to share their experiences in this field and so that it would be possible to understand and approach the practices of occupational therapists in CAPSad and the Harm Reduction approach, soon it was possible to be aware of how it is really interpreted developed and its strengths, weaknesses and stigmas that professionals encountered in the course of their experiences.
