Abstract

The present paper of course completion presents the curricular internship experience in the Associação de Pais e Amigos dos Excepcionais - APAE in Santa Maria, RS, in the period between August 2015 and June 2016. It was needed an understanding of the development of the concept of disabled person, as well as his insertion on the National Policy of Social Assistance and other legislations. The Apaeano movement started with the objective of strengthening the fight to secure the access to the wrights predicted in laws towards this population. It was developed a Project of intervention with the objective of make possible a better Family integration with the institution aiming to make feasible the inclusion of the disabled person in the job market and strengthening its part in the development of autonomy and sociability of the disabled person. To do so it was performed talk circles and workshops that resulted, from the Family perspective, the understanding about the social inclusion/exclusion of the APAE students in the job world. Besides that, this experience evidenced how much is still fragile the subject of social inclusion of the DP, this only comes to corroborate with the facto f having the obligation to keep the fight against the undoing of public policies, besides of course of the total (um)accountability by the State that daily make itself less present in our society.
