Difusão do arquivo fotográfico da UFSM: uma possibilidade por meio da audiodescrição

Abstract

This study presents a diffusion proposal for the Photographic Archive of the Federal University of Santa Maria (UFSM). Through audio description, he tried to show the importance of making accessible records to different public, in this case, in particular, those covered by the audio description. Given this context, we tried to approach two areas: Archivology and Special Education (first graduation of the author). Thus, this study is justified from the moment it was realized the need to provide the people with special needs other means to have access to information about the history of UFSM, for example, photographs, showing that audio description can corroborate the file diffusion processes. The work is divided into six chapters, namely: the first presents the theoretical basis of the area of Archivology, as the file definition, photography and archival functions; the second addresses issues pertaining to Special Education (in this section are explored terminology concepts and assistive technologies); the methodology used in the construction work appears in the third chapter; the fourth chapter refers to the UFSM, locus of this study; the next chapter expose the results and, finally, the sixth and final chapter, the conclusion obtained from the subjects addressed.
