O acervo literário de Edmundo Cardoso como fonte de conhecimento arquivístico

Abstract

Archive science is a science in wide expansion, especially with the arrival of new technologies, but there is a gap in the training of the archivist with regard to the custody and treatment of archival archival holdings. With a latent lack of intellectual and theoretical production about these holdings and the demand for a specific treatment, which differs them from administrative and even personal archives. With the intention of initiating a reflection within the archivology, this monograph appears, which seeks not to exhaust the theoretical sources but to open a new field of discussion within the archival environment, through the work carried out by the Casa de Memória Edmundo Cardoso, responsible for keeping the holdings Archival of Edmundo Cardoso himself and of other relevant authors within the Santa Marian and Gaucho context, as for example, by the writer João Belém. This research then searches for evidence through bibliographic research and analysis of resultsobtained through questionnaires and interviews to reaffirm the relevance of these holdings within the archival context.
