Este trabalho apresenta o projeto de um sistema de acionamento de máquinas elétricas baseado no módulo IRAM. Trata-se de um módulo de baixo custo, contendo três braços inversores, capaz de acionar tanto motores CC quanto CA. Graças ao isolamento do circuito de disparo das chaves aliado às proteções de sobrecorrente, sobretensão, sobretemperatura, entre outras, este módulo torna-se atrativo para o desenvolvimento de protótipos que envolvam controle de máquinas. Dessa forma, o mesmo pode ser utilizado no ensino, por exemplo, de disciplinas de eletrônica de potência em cursos de engenharia, bem como em aplicações industriais que requeiram tal função. Em se tratando do ambiente acadêmico, sabe–se que existe um grande aprendizado e solidificação do conhecimento quando o conteúdo ministrado nas salas de aula é implementado em bancada experimental. Isso é intensificado principalmente para disciplinas como eletrônica de potência. Porém, devido à falta de recursos, nem sempre há disponibilidade de aquisição de materiais para realização de experimentos. Portanto, visando contribuir para o aprendizado com um viés experimental, neste trabalho é apresentado o projeto de construção e implementação de uma placa genérica de acionamento de máquinas. Serão apresentadas as etapas de projeto conceitual, confecção das placas, bem como resultados de testes práticos em bancada.
