Esse trabalho apresenta o desenvolvimento de uma estratégia de controle aplicado a um Driver de LEDs (LightEmitting Diodes) com correção de fator de potência, com o objetivo de implementar características de cargas inteligentes. Essas características incluem o controle por droop de potência ativa e reativa. Desta forma, aproveita-se a energia do próprio capacitor de barramento presente nas topologias de múltiplos estágios como reserva de energia, desacoplando a potência instantânea de entrada e saída. A possibilidade de compensação ativa sem mudança topológica também é discutida. O circuito é simulado e apresenta resultados satisfatórios em termos de melhoria da rede elétrica com pequeno sobredimensionamento em relação a um conversor comum e possibilidade de redução de perdas e aumento da estabilidade do sistema elétrico como um todo.
