Produção e caracterização de compósitos de titânio-grafeno a partir de pastas para impressão 3D por extrusão.
Abstract
A Manufatura Aditiva (MA), também conhecida como impressão 3D, representa uma tecnologia revolucionária que tem alterado significativamente a paisagem industrial ao longo dos anos e exerce um impacto transformador em vários setores, proporcionando uma abordagem flexível e inovadora para a produção de peças e produtos de geometrias complexas.
Um dos processos possíveis para fabricação de metais é a impressão 3D por extrusão de pastas. O processo é derivado da técnica de impressão de cerâmicas por extrusão de pastas. Essa técnica utiliza uma pasta composta de uma mistura de pós metálicos e aglutinantes. Essa pasta é impressa por meio do processo de extrusão, resultando em uma peça verde que posteriormente é sinterizada. O êxito da impressão 3D por extrusão de pastas está condicionado às propriedades de escoamento da pasta, à resistência da peça verde e ao procedimento de sinterização. Esse processo de MA é promissor para a
fabricação de compósitos de matriz metálica. Dentre os compósitos de matriz metálicas, destaca-se os compósitos de titânio-grafeno. Os compósitos de titânio-grafeno, os quais representam uma classe avançada de materiais que combinam as propriedades excepci onais do titânio e do grafeno. Essa combinação oferece vantagens notáveis em termos de resistência mecânica, leveza, condutividade elétrica e resistência à corrosão, tornando esses materiais promissores para uma variedade de aplicações. Neste estudo, a MA de compósitos de titânio-grafeno foi realizada através da compactação de pastas metálicas se guidas de sinterização. Para isso, foram produzidas três composições de pastas de titânio e titânio-grafeno utilizando o álcool polivinílico (PVA) como aglutinante. Amostras verdes foram produzidas a partir da compactação à frio de pastas para extrusão 3D e em seguida submetidas a extração térmica do ligante e sinterização. As amostras sinterizadas foram caracterizadas quanto as propriedades microestuturais, mecânicas e porosidade. Os resultados obtidos nas amostras fabricadas por compactação à frio de pastas de titânio-grafeno indicaram que a adição de grafeno melhora a dureza. Com a adição de 0,3% em massa de grafeno, foi alcançado um aumento de mais de 71% na microdureza e mais de 17% no módulo de elasticidade. A adição de 0,5% de grafeno apresentou um efeito fragilizador reduzindo a resistência à compressão e microdureza devido aos valores de porosidade mais elevados. Os resultados obtidos, indicam que o grafeno pode ser eficientemente utilizado como reforço para ligas de titânio quando adicionado em uma proporção adequada.
