Relação entre transparência da água obtida in situ e a reflectância da imagem landsat 5 tm do reservatório Passo Real
Abstract
O monitoramento da qualidade da água geralmente é realizado a partir da amostragem in situ. No entanto, o custo financeiro e operacional é alto, além da difícil amostragem em diferentes setores do corpo hídrico. Como possível solução para este problema, pode ser utilizada a base histórica de imagens Landsat 5 TM que permite a realização de estudos espaço-temporais de ambientes aquáticos. Inserida neste contexto, a presente pesquisa propõe verificar a relação entre dados de transparência da água identificados em campo e os valores de reflectância espectral do reservatório Passo Real obtidos por imagem Landsat 5 TM. A transparência da água foi medida em campo com o uso de um disco de Secchi em 31 pontos amostrais do reservatório. As imagens de satélite utilizadas para a análise temporal da refletância da água foram produzidas pelo satélite Landsat 5 TM, a partir das quais é possível a extração de pixels puros em função da resolução espacial de 30 metros. A seleção de imagens foi a partir disponibilidades de cenas sem presença de nuvens em datas mais próximas à realização dos trabalhos de campo. Os processamentos das imagens para correção dos efeitos atmosféricos e transformação dos números digitais em valores de reflectância foram realizados no software ENVI 5.0 As espacializações dos dados de transparência e valores de reflectância foram realizadas por interpolação no software Spring 4.3.3. Na análise temporal de Março de 2009 a Julho de 2009 as medidas de transparências do reservatório Passo Real em sua maioria foram superiores a 100 centímetros. Os períodos de Agosto de 2009 e Outubro de 2009 apresentaram transparências inferiores a 100 centímetros e menor variância dos dados em relação aos dados anteriores estudados. Os dados de reflectância no contexto espaço-temporal indica que as principais alterações correspondem aos setores dos tributários do reservatório Passo Real. Os dados espectrais da Banda 3 do sensor TM foram relacionados com a variável transparência da água nos 31 pontos amostrais. Os modelos gerados por regressão linear demonstram que a transparência da água apresenta relação com os dados de reflectância na região do vermelho. Os modelos com melhor ajuste foram obtidos para os dados de Março de 2009 a Julho de 2009, período com índices de maior amplitude e variância dos dados de transparência e reflectância espectral, embora todos os períodos tenham apresentado regressões significativas em um intervalo de confiança de 99,9% (n=31). A presença de pigmentos fotossintéticos na água diminui o grau de correlação de dados de transparência e reflectância na faixa do vermelho. Este fato ocorre pelo motivo de a banda 3 do sensor TM ser sensível a absorções de energia eletromagnética por pigmentos fotossintéticos. As imagens de satélite caracterizaram-se em importantes ferramentas para compreensão do funcionamento espaço-temporal do reservatório.
