Comparação dos parâmetros do estresse oxidativo e marcadores inflamatórios de pacientes com DPC e tabagistas
Abstract
As doenças pulmonares crônicas (DPC) são doenças presentes nas vias aéreas inferiores. As DPC são uma condição inflamatória progressiva das vias aéreas inferiores onde os sintomas decorrem da resposta inflamatória anormal dos pulmões à inalação de partículas ou gases nocivos, sendo sua principal causa o tabagismo. A resposta inflamatória das vias aéreas tem recebido especial atenção, com os mecanismos descritos sobre a patogênese desta resposta. O estresse oxidativo e espécies reativas de oxigênio foram sugeridos na patogênese da bronquiectasia e da doença pulmonar obstrutiva crônica, que apresenta sintomas incapacitantes levando à inatividade e descondicionamento físico. Dessa forma, a presente pesquisa teve como objetivo comparar o estresse oxidativo e estado inflamatório dos portadores de DPC e tabagistas e sua associação com variáveis de força muscular respiratória, capacidade funcional e qualidade de vida. A amostra foi composta por 21 voluntários sendo 7 com DPC e 14 tabagistas. Como principais resultados, apresentou diferença entre os grupos para as variáveis de CVF (p<0,003) e FEV1% (p<0,006), em relação a força muscular respiratória houve uma diferença entre os grupos de PImáx (p<0,043) e PEmáx (p<0,026), sobre qualidade de vida o item saúde física apresentou diferença entre os grupos (p<0,001). Em relação ao estresse oxidativo houve um aumento do TBARS (p<0,001) nos tabagistas quando comparado com os DPC, o marcador Cat (p<0,002) apresentou valores elevados no grupo DPC e a PCR-us (p<0,001) apresentou diferença entre os grupos. Os resultados encontrados podem concluir que os níveis do estresse oxidativo foram maiores no grupo de tabagista do que em relação aos com DPC, mostrando que a inalação de gases tóxicos como a fumaça do cigarro, eleva os níveis do estresse oxidativo.
