Efeito agudo da abordagem indireta no tecido conjuntivo sobre a dor, propriocepção e funcionalidade de membro superior de mulheres pós-mastectomia radical modificada
Abstract
O câncer tem como característica a presença de divisões exacerbadas e incontroláveis de células anormais, o que resulta em alterações em sua morfologia e função. Dentre as técnicas cirúrgicas disponíveis no tratamento da doença, está a mastectomia radical modificada que, como todo procedimento, pode apresentar consequências. Neste caso, a dor e a alteração na sensibilidade são os efeitos mais comuns e podem resultar em um estado de tensão miofascial, implicando em diminuição na qualidade do movimento, que está diretamente relacionado à propriocepção. Nesse âmbito, a massagem miofascial mostra-se como um recurso em potencial, pois tem como benefícios o relaxamento, a diminuição da dor e aumento da amplitude de movimento (ADM). O objetivo do estudo foi avaliar os efeitos agudos da abordagem indireta no tecido conjuntivo sobre a dor e propriocepção do membro superior de mulheres pós-mastectomia radical modificada unilateral. Os instrumentos e procedimentos utilizados para a coleta dos dados foram: questionário sociodemográfico e Disabilities of the Arm, Shoulder and Hand para caracterização da amostra; Escala Analógica da dor; cinesiômetro para avaliação da propriocepção e a aplicação da massagem miofascial. Participaram da pesquisa 12 mulheres com idades entre 40 e 72 anos. Os dados foram tratados estatisticamente; na análise pré e pós, para dados simétricos, foi utilizado o Teste T Pareado e, para os dados assimétricos, foi utilizado o teste Wilcoxon. Resultados: Conclui-se que nenhuma das variáveis analisadas teve resultados significativos, inclusive os resultados pré e pós¬abordagem indireta do tecido conjuntivo em relação à dor e à propriocepção.
