Repercussões do tratamento fisioterapêutico na qualidade de vida de portadores de doença pulmonar crônica: a percepção do paciente
Abstract
Esta monografia apresenta os resultados da pesquisa realizada, cujo objetivo foi analisar as repercussões da fisioterapia na qualidade de vida de pacientes portadores de doença pulmonar crônica através da percepção dos mesmos em relação ao tratamento. É constituída pela introdução, a qual situa sobre os elementos constituintes do trabalho, seguido do artigo científico a ser submetido à periódico da área, considerações finais, referências bibliográficas, anexos e apêndices. O artigo científico traz os caminhos metodológicos da pesquisa, a qual caracteriza-se como quali-quantitativa, e foi realizada com 9 sujeitos portadores de doença pulmonar crônica, idade de 51 ± 12,34 anos. Os pacientes foram submetidos à aplicação dos questionários Miniexame do Estado Mental e Saint George’s Respiratory Questionnaire modificado (SGRQm), e de uma entrevista narrativa semi-estruturada individual. Os dados qualitativos foram interpretados por meio da análise de conteúdo a partir de um sistema de categorização, e os dados quantitativos por análise descritiva, expressa em percentuais, média e desvio padrão. Os resultados da pesquisa mostram elevadas pontuações no questionário SGRQm, refletindo comprometimento da qualidade de vida. Duas categorias de análise qualitativa surgiram a partir das narrativas: “A doença pulmonar e a qualidade de vida: percepções compreendidas”, e “A Fisioterapia e a qualidade de vida do paciente portador de doença pulmonar crônica”, onde percebeu-se a influência negativa da doença na qualidade de vida dos sujeitos, e a contribuição do tratamento fisioterapêutico na melhora desta condição. Pode-se concluir que o tratamento fisioterapêutico promoveu melhor qualidade de vida para pacientes portadores de doença pulmonar crônica, segundo suas percepções, por auxiliar na redução de sintomas, maior autonomia para desenvolver atividades, facilitar relacionamentos interpessoais e no controle da doença.
